Katy Martin
MYT 230 (2024), Cupping Certified (2023),
BSN RN (IP2026), MYT 300 (IP2026)
Katy embraces life as a free spirit—a student, artist, friend, and healer. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), with the goal of specializing in labor and delivery, and eventually transitioning into midwifery. With a passion for integrating both Western and Eastern medicine, Katy aspires to create new approaches to healing in today’s world.

Her journey into holistic practices includes yoga, meditation, cupping therapy, and Reiki. Katy began practicing cupping while working at a holistic Chinese medicine women’s clinic, receiving one-on-one instruction from an acupuncturist and later earning her certification from Adagio. She advanced her skills by completing Cupping 1 in 2023 and Cupping Level 2 in 2024 with Kim Hart. Additionally, she completed her Reiki training and achieved Reiki mastery with Cody Cooper, incorporating energy healing into her holistic offerings.

Yoga remains a key part of Katy’s path. In April 2024, she completed her official yoga training (MYT230) at The Yoga Center Retreat with Jen Grey, a transformative 9-month experience that deepened her desire to hold space for others and foster community connection. Shortly after completing her 200-hour training, Katy earned her JAI Prenatal Yoga certification, also with Jen Grey. She developed a passion for teaching prenatal yoga, creating a nurturing space for expecting mothers to connect with their bodies and their growing babies. Katy’s prenatal classes focus on supporting the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of mothers-to-be through gentle asanas, breathwork, and meditation. Currently, she is enrolled in the next part of her yoga training, a 300-hour program, to further deepen her practice and teaching skills.

Katy’s desire to create community connection led her to start Center Flame, a space for people to explore yoga and meditation together. She is passionate about supporting others in their personal growth, while continuing to learn from the community she serves. Katy believes in the profound connection between healing the mind and body, and her own spiritual journey has inspired her approach to yoga through the lens of community healing.

Katy loves gathering individuals from diverse backgrounds to cultivate a warm collective of energy and healing. Each of her classes is rooted in her mantra and intention: connecting "mind and body through the use of breath and movement." By weaving breathwork with movement, Katy helps participants tap into the deeper union of body and mind, fostering a holistic sense of well-being.
